Exquisite Corpses

This multiple wall work was conceived for an exhibition entitled Host, a group exhibition curated by Anastasia Lewis, who invited artists from a range of disciplines to exhibit work in another medium. Shown at Kingsgate Gallery in London in October 2013, Exquisite Corpses comprised 4 figurative wall pieces made from wax, plaster and plaster bandage, fabric and drawing. It echoed the childhood game of Consequences where sections of the figure are created by different people, a device used by the Surrealists to engage with the notion of chance in their practice.
